Volunteers are needed

The York River District is hosting the Annual Conference in Hampton, June 16-18.Hosting the Annual Conference requires a large number of volunteers, and the district is in need of support. The Rev. Charles Ledlum-Bates, District Superintendent, is asking pastors and laity in leadership positions to solicit volunteers from congregations to help the annual conference sessions run smoothly.

• Ushers help people find seats, hand out approved materials including worship booklets, help people find the robing area, and collect the Conference offering.
• Platform volunteers help set up the stage between segments of the program.
• Golf cart drivers will drive people from the parking lot to the Convention Center and then back again.

Volunteers do not have to be registered for the conference; spouses who are not participating in the meeting often volunteer. Use the links below to sign up to volunteer:
