You Are Enough

As I write this, I have completed over 110 one-on-one meetings with clergy on the Roanoke and Staunton Districts. This experience has been one of the great honors of my time in ordained ministry. When people asked me why I agreed to be a district superintendent (twice now), my answer is that clergy are my people. Whether I was on the Board of Ordained Ministry, teaching at licensing school, leading workshops for provisional clergy, or serving on district committees, I have attempted to make everything I have done beyond the local church a means to bless my colleagues in ministry. It has been my consistent prayer that my time as a DS can serve clergy and the congregations and communities you are each appointed to serve. Read the entire message HERE
